Modeco d.o.o. is a Croatian manufacturer of roof systems with its registered office in Đakovo (Ante Starčevića 249, 31400 Đakovo, Croatia), founded in 2017. In its own plant it roll-forms roof sheets and folds flashings on CNC machines, and it supplies and installs sandwich panels, gutters, steel structures and prefabricated halls throughout Croatia. Its OIB (Croatian company tax number) is 29281110122.

Modeco sells to private individuals and to companies alike. Its customers are contractors, trade businesses and merchants buying for their own projects, but also owners of family houses ordering for their own roof. Consumers have all the rights of the EU consumer rights framework, the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales.

An order goes through our webshop, by sending an enquiry with a drawing or dimensions, or by telephone on +385 31 286 066. Modeco answers an enquiry with a quote within 48–72 working hours.

It is not. The result of the roof configurator, of the Flashing Designer and of the 3D gutter tool is an indicative calculation based on the data entered. Only the written quote, or the order confirmation, is binding; it is drawn up after the data has been checked and, on larger jobs, after an on-site measurement.

For roof coverings, panels and prefabricated halls an on-site measurement precedes the binding quote. For small sheet-metal parts and stock items no measurement is needed — the dimensions the customer states in the order are enough.

They do. The price shown on the product pages is incl. 25 % Croatian VAT, and the net price is stated next to it for buyers who account for input VAT.

The “On request” label is carried by products whose price depends on dimensions, shape or quantity — flashings made to measure, square gutters, sandwich panels and sheet cut to the required length. For these Modeco draws up a quote from the measurements supplied, because a single price per piece does not exist.

Modeco accepts card payment and payment by bank transfer. Card payment is available when the transport cost is known in advance, and the card details are processed solely by the payment service provider. With a bank transfer the customer receives a quote with a payment reference, and the goods go into preparation once the payment has been recorded. For larger orders an advance payment can be made to reserve a production slot.

For larger quantities and series production the price is agreed in a quote. Modeco also carries out B2B series CNC sheet-metal work for other contractors and sheet-metal workshops, where the terms are agreed project by project.

Yes. Modeco delivers throughout Croatia, with its focus on Slavonia and Osijek-Baranja County. Prefabricated halls are erected across the whole of Croatia.

Transport is charged by the distance from the plant in Đakovo: Đakovo (local) 10 €, up to 15 km 16 €, 15–30 km 33 €, 30–45 km 47 €, 45–60 km 60 €, 60–75 km 73 €, 75–90 km 86 €, 90–105 km 100 €, 105–120 km 112 €. The final amount is confirmed in the quote, or in the order confirmation, because it also depends on the quantity and the dimensions of the goods. For distances of more than 120 km and for bulky consignments transport is set by quote.

The indicative lead times are: stock items 3–7 working days, goods made to measure (flashings, sheet cut to length) 5–7 working days, sandwich panels and larger series 14–21 days. The specific lead time is confirmed in the order confirmation.

They can. Goods are collected at the plant at Ante Starčevića 249, 31400 Đakovo, Croatia, with the time arranged in advance, because part of the range is made to order.

Long sheets and panels are carried on dedicated vehicles because they cannot be sent by ordinary parcel delivery. Modeco has its own transport and mobile crane hire for unloading on the building site.

Modeco roll-forms the trapezoidal sheets T-18, T-22, T-35 and T-45. The cover widths are: T-18 = 1100 mm, T-22 = 1070 mm, T-35 = 1035 mm and T-45 = 1000 mm. A higher profile carries a greater span between supports, so T-35 and T-45 are used on halls and T-18 and T-22 on family-house roofs.

The cover width is the usable width of the sheet after the overlap with the neighbouring sheet — it is the figure multiplied by the number of sheets when the quantity needed is calculated. The overall width of the sheet is greater because it includes the part that goes into the overlap. The cover width is always the one used to calculate material.

Z275 means 275 grams of zinc per square metre, on both sides, to EN 10346. That is the usual level of protection for roof sheets; lower designations such as Z100 or Z200 mean a thinner zinc layer and a shorter life outdoors.

For profiled sheets the steel substrates S250GD, S280GD and S320GD are used, galvanised to EN 10346 and protected with a polyester coating. The figure after the letter S is the yield strength in N/mm²; a higher number means a stronger substrate.

Tile-profile roof sheet has a cover width of 1100 mm, on a steel substrate with Z275 galvanising. It imitates the look of the classic clay tile but is considerably lighter, so it is often used when renovating a roof structure that would not carry the weight of real tiles.

Self-supporting metal profiles for roofs and cladding are covered by the standard EN 14782. Alongside it, EN 10346 applies to galvanised steel sheet, and EN 612 to eaves gutters and rainwater downpipes.

A PIR core has a better reaction to fire than a PUR core — class B-s1, d0 to EN 13501-1, which means a limited contribution to fire, very little smoke and no flaming droplets. PUR panels are cheaper and are used where the fire requirement is not decisive.

The standard colour of sandwich panels is RAL 7016 (anthracite grey). Other RAL colours are possible to order, with a longer lead time because the panels are then produced specially.

No. Roof panels have a profiled upper face with ribs that drain the water away and carry the snow load, while wall panels have a flatter or only slightly profiled face because they carry nothing but their own weight and the wind. Modeco supplies both versions.

For a heated hall in the continental part of the country (internal temperature of 18 °C and above) the Croatian Technical Regulation on Thermal Protection requires U ≤ 0.25 W/m²K for the roof and U ≤ 0.30 W/m²K for the wall, which as a rule means a PIR panel of 100–120 mm on the roof and 80 mm on the wall. For spaces heated to 12–18 °C a roof panel of 60 mm is enough, and for unheated buildings the regulation sets no requirement on the U-value.

They do not, because the metal facings of sandwich panels are vapour-tight in themselves. Moisture gets in through the joints and the penetrations, so vapour protection with panels is achieved by sealing the joints — butyl or vapour-sealing tape in the groove, tape between the inner sheet and the purlin, and screws with an EPDM washer. In humid production plants manufacturers recommend sealing the joint on the inner side of the panel as well.

Half-round gutters come in developed widths of 250, 330 and 417 mm, and square gutters in 330, 400 and 500 mm (cross-sections 9×6, 11×8 and 12×12 cm). Downpipes are 80, 100 and 120 mm in diameter. The most common choice for a family house is a half-round gutter of developed width 330 with a Ø100 pipe.

A gutter is sized to the standard EN 12056-3, on the basis of the roof area draining into it and the rainfall intensity for the location; EN 612 lays down the dimensions and the quality of the gutters themselves, not the calculation. A gutter that is too small overflows in heavier downpours, and one that is too large makes the system needlessly expensive. Modeco does the calculation as part of the quote.

Yes. Flashings, eaves flashings, verge flashings, valley flashings, wall abutment flashings, ridge flashings, Z-profiles and window sills are folded by Modeco on a CNC machine to a tolerance of ±0.2 mm, in any RAL colour. The shape can be drawn in the Flashing Designer tool on the site and sent as part of an enquiry.

You can. Gutters, downpipes, flashings and roof sheet are supplied in the same RAL colour when they are ordered together. The most frequent combinations are RAL 8017 (brown) and RAL 7016 (anthracite).

Yes. Modeco manufactures and erects steel prefabricated halls — industrial, agricultural, storage and crane halls — throughout Croatia. The delivery covers the structure, the cladding, the sheet-metal work and the erection, while the design documentation is drawn up by the authorised designers we work with, because the main design is by law signed by an authorised individual entered in the register of the professional chamber.

Steel structures are executed to EN 1090-2, execution class EXC3, with the welding quality requirements of EN ISO 3834-2. Structural steel S355 is used for load-bearing elements.

The lead time depends on the span, the height and the equipment of the hall, so it is set in the quote once the design is done. Production of the structure and the erection are planned separately, and the erection slot is reserved with an advance payment.

Modeco does both. Alongside supplying the material it installs roof coverings, sandwich panels and sheet-metal work, and it offers mobile crane hire and transport to site. The material can also be bought without installation.

A consumer may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The direct cost of the return is borne by the consumer, and with sheets, panels and gutters that cost is considerable, because their length and weight mean they cannot be sent as an ordinary postal consignment.

It does not. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU there is no right of withdrawal for goods made to the consumer's specification or clearly personalised. These are flashings made to the measurements supplied, sheet and panels cut to the required length, roof packages configured from the data about the building, and structures made to the customer's design.

A complaint is sent by e-mail to [email protected], or by post to the address of the registered office, with the invoice number and a description of the defect. Damage that occurs in transport should be reported immediately on collection and noted on the delivery note, because it is hard to prove later.
