What we supply
Tile-profile sheet is profiled in Đakovo from galvanised steel sheet with a factory-applied polyester coating, with a cover width of 1100 mm. It is supplied in two price groups of colours: RAL 3009/8019 and the RAL 7016/9005/9006/9002/6028/8004 group. Alongside it, the same programme includes sheet-metal cladding with a developed width of 1130 mm, which is used for the eaves soffit and for cladding gables.
For buildings where the tile look is not a requirement, the same line produces trapezoidal sheet in four profiles — T-18, T-22, T-35 and T-45 — with cover widths of 1100, 1070, 1035 and 1000 mm. Flat colour-coated sheet in the same colours is used to make flashings, so the roof covering and the sheet-metal work can be matched in a single colour.
A cover width of 1100 mm means that each sheet, after the overlap with the neighbouring one, actually covers 1.1 metres of roof width — the number of sheets required is calculated from that dimension, not from the overall width of the sheet. The length of the sheets is cut to the measurements of the roof plane, so unnecessary transverse joints at the eaves and the ridge are avoided.
Along with the roof covering we also supply all the finishing sheet metal for the roof:
- Ridge flashings, verge flashings (with drip edge, wide, recessed, for the rafter board and for cladding).
- Valley flashings and wall abutment flashings in versions for roof tiles — with drip edge, recessed, and wall abutment flashings over roof tiles Type 1 and Type 2.
- Eaves flashings, including the eaves flashing under clay tiles, the single-sided eaves flashing and the window sill.
- Snow guards — individual (biber, biber long, tegola) and continuous for trapezoidal sheet.
- Flashings by developed width, from the 0–10 cm class to the 100–125 cm class.
- Screws to suit the substructure (timber: GT F2 4.8×35 to 4.8×80 mm; steel: GT02, GT3, GT5 and GT12), plus screw caps in a RAL colour.
Data
Technical specifications
All the profiles in the table start from the same base material: continuously hot-dip galvanised steel sheet to EN 10346, to which an organic polyester coating in a RAL colour is applied at the factory. The Z275 designation on the sheet means 275 grams of zinc per square metre on both sides together, and the usual structural steel grades for this application are S250GD, S280GD and S320GD. Finished self-supporting metal profiles for roofing and cladding are covered by EN 14782.

Selection
How to choose a roof covering
Profile geometry and substructure
Tile-profile sheet has transverse steps at a fixed module, so the battens have to follow that module — a step must not end up over a void. Trapezoidal sheet has continuous longitudinal ribs and tolerates a larger span between supports. The permissible span and the batten spacing depend on the profile, the pitch and the snow and wind load, so we check them for every project.
Use of the building
The tile profile is chosen where the look of a classic roof covering is required — family houses, ancillary buildings, replacement of worn-out roof tiles. The trapezoidal profile is the usual choice for halls, canopies and farm buildings.
Colour and price group
The price list distinguishes two colour groups. RAL 3009/8019 is the cheaper group (9.90 € / m² including VAT for tile-profile sheet), while the RAL 7016/9005/9006/9002/6028/8004 group costs 11.80 € / m² including VAT. The difference per square metre multiplies across the whole roof area, so it is worth taking into account as early as the estimate.
Cover width and quantity calculation
Tile-profile sheet and the T-18 profile cover 1100 mm, T-22 covers 1070 mm, T-35 covers 1035 mm and T-45 covers 1000 mm. The number of sheets across the roof width is calculated from the cover width, not from the overall width of the sheet, because the overlap has already been deducted.
Condensation in unheated buildings
In unheated buildings warm air from inside condenses on the cold underside of the sheet, and the dripping can damage goods and installations under the roof. The solution is anti-condensation fleece, which is applied at the factory to the underside of trapezoidal sheet and charged as a surcharge per square metre. The fleece holds moisture temporarily and releases it later, so ventilation of the roof space must be provided along with it.
Finishing sheet metal and fastening
The ridge, valley flashings, wall abutment flashings, eaves flashings and verge flashings are planned together with the roof covering and priced by developed width. The screw is chosen to suit the substructure: GT F2 types are used for timber, GT02, GT3, GT5 and GT12 for steel, with vulcanised EPDM sealing washers that seal the penetration.
Logistics
Delivery and lead times
Profiling and preparation are done at the plant in Đakovo. Sheet cut to length and made-to-measure flashings are delivered within 5-7 radnih dana, and stock items such as screws, caps and small fittings within 3-7 radnih dana. To an enquiry with measurements or a roof drawing we reply with a quote within 48-72 radna sata.
The delivery cost depends on the county, the weight and the dimensions of the goods, and the exact amount is shown in the basket once the county has been selected. Roof sheets are bulky goods and are not sent by post — dispatch is by pallet or lorry transport, with an agreed unloading time on the building site.
For an accurate quote it helps to state in the enquiry: the plan dimensions and the roof pitch or the area in square metres, the number and type of edges (ridge, valleys, gables), the substructure material, the desired RAL colour and the delivery location. If a roof drawing exists, it is enough to attach it to the enquiry.
Pitanja i odgovori
Tile-profile sheet — frequently asked questions
What is the cover width of tile-profile sheet?
Tile-profile sheet from the Modeco range has a cover width of 1100 mm. The cover width is the width that a sheet actually covers after the overlap with the neighbouring sheet, so the number of sheets needed for the roof is calculated from it.
How much does tile-profile sheet cost per square metre?
Tile-profile sheet in the colours RAL 3009/8019 costs 9.90 € per square metre including VAT (7.92 € excluding VAT). The more expensive colour group RAL 7016/9005/9006/9002/6028/8004 costs 11.80 € per square metre including VAT.
What is the difference between tile-profile sheet and trapezoidal sheet?
Tile-profile sheet has transverse steps that repeat at a fixed module and imitate the look of a classic roof tile, so the substructure is set at a spacing that matches that module. Trapezoidal sheet has continuous longitudinal ribs and is made in the profiles T-18, T-22, T-35 and T-45, with cover widths of 1100, 1070, 1035 and 1000 mm.
What material is tile-profile roof sheet made from?
It is made by cold roll-forming continuously hot-dip galvanised steel sheet with an organic polyester coating. Galvanised sheet is covered by EN 10346 (the usual steel grades are S250GD, S280GD and S320GD; the Z275 designation means 275 grams of zinc per square metre on both sides together), and self-supporting metal profiles for roofing and cladding by EN 14782.
Which RAL colours are supplied and why do the prices differ?
The price list distinguishes two colour groups: RAL 3009/8019 and the RAL 7016/9005/9006/9002/6028/8004 group, which is more expensive per square metre. The same range of colours applies to trapezoidal sheet and to flat colour-coated sheet, so the roof covering and the finishing sheet metal can be matched in the same colour.
What is the batten spacing under tile-profile sheet?
A profile with a transverse step rests on battens set at a spacing that matches the module of the profile itself, because the step must not end up over a void. The exact batten layout and the permissible span depend on the profile, the roof pitch and the snow and wind load, and are checked for every project.
How quickly is it delivered?
Roof sheets are roll-formed to measure, lead time 5–7 working days. Screws, caps and sealants from stock: 3–7 working days. Modeco answers an enquiry stating the roof area, pitch, colour and place of delivery within 48–72 working hours.
