What a prefabricated steel hall consists of
The model above shows a standard prefabricated hall: reinforced-concrete foundations with anchors, a steel load-bearing structure of columns and roof beams, the secondary substructure and the roof and facade cladding of sandwich panels. Turning off the facade shows the arrangement of the beams and the way the load is transferred to the foundations.
Modeco designs, manufactures and erects halls for industry, agriculture and storage. The span, the height and the loads are determined by a structural calculation for each location separately — the 3D view serves for agreeing the layout, not as design documentation.
Load-bearing structure
Columns and roof beams of structural steel, executed to EN 1090-2.
Roof and facade cladding
Sandwich panels with a PUR or PIR core, or trapezoidal sheet depending on the use of the building.
Foundations and anchoring
Reinforced-concrete foundations with anchor bolts; they are executed to the structural calculation.
Roof drainage
Gutters, downpipes and flashings sized to the roof area, to EN 612.

Does the 3D view give the final price of a hall?
No. The 3D view serves for agreeing the layout and the dimensions. The final quote depends on the location, the structural calculation, the foundations, the cladding, transport and erection.
What does Modeco need to draw up a quote for a hall?
The dimensions of the building (length, width, height), the location, the use, the doors and openings needed, information about the floor and the foundations and the expected completion date.
To which standard are steel structures executed?
Steel structures are executed to the standard EN 1090-2, which defines the execution classes and the quality requirements.
How long does delivery of the material for a hall take?
The lead time for panels and larger series is 14–21 days, while the completion time for the whole hall is agreed project by project. We send the quote within 48–72 working hours.
Does Modeco also carry out the erection, or only the delivery?
Modeco carries out both delivery and erection, including crane work. The scope is defined in the quote for each project.
