What we supply
At its plant in Đakovo, Modeco roll-forms and supplies a complete system for draining roof water: the horizontal gutter (eaves gutter), the vertical downpipe and the accessories that connect those two elements. Everything is made from continuously galvanised steel sheet with a factory colour coating, so the joint, the bracket and the end piece are in the same shade as the gutter itself.
The half-round gutter comes in three developed widths — 250, 330 and 417 mm. Developed width 330 is the most common choice for family houses, while developed width 417 is the reinforced version for larger roof areas. The square gutter is made in three sizes: developed width 330 with external dimensions 9×6 cm, developed width 400 measuring 11×8 cm and developed width 500 measuring 12×12 cm.
The downpipe is run in pipes of Ø 80, Ø 100 and Ø 120 mm together with pipe bends of the same diameters. The transition from the gutter to the downpipe is handled by the outlet (hopper head), which is made in the combinations developed width 250 / Ø 80, developed width 330 / Ø 100 and developed width 417 / Ø 120.

The standard colours of the regular range are RAL 8017 (brown) and RAL 7016 (anthracite grey). Other RAL shades are checked on enquiry.
The developed width marking means the width of the flat strip of sheet before roll-forming, from which folding produces the final cross-section of the gutter. The Ø marking refers to the diameter of the finished downpipe. That is why the gutter, the flashings and the accessories are ordered by developed width, and the downpipes and pipe bends by diameter. To prepare a quote it is enough to send the length of the eaves in metres, the height of the building down to the ground, the number of breaks in the roof and the desired shade.

Technical specifications
The base material is continuously hot-dip galvanised steel sheet to the EN 10346 standard, with a factory colour coating. The Z275 marking on that sheet means 275 grams of zinc per square metre, counted over both sides together. Hanging gutters and downpipes made of sheet metal are themselves covered by the EN 612 standard, which defines the terminology, the classification and the requirements for them.

How to choose a roof gutter
Catchment area of the roof
The larger the roof surface that drains into a single gutter, the larger the cross-section needed. Developed width 250 is used on smaller canopies and ancillary buildings, developed width 330 on family houses, and developed width 417 on larger roof areas. Sizing depends on the plan projection of the roof surface, on the rainfall intensity and on the number of downpipes — we check it for every project.
Pairing the gutter with the downpipe
The outlet determines which pipe goes with which gutter: developed width 250 to Ø 80, developed width 330 to Ø 100, developed width 417 to Ø 120 mm. If you depart from that combination, a reducer is needed.
Profile shape
The half-round gutter is the classic profile available from the regular range. The square (box) profile is chosen to go with straight facade lines and is supplied on enquiry.
Bracket to suit the eaves design
The straight gutter bracket is fitted to the board or the rafter, bent and twisted brackets are used with different eaves details, and the extended bracket where a greater offset from the wall is needed. The spacing of the brackets and the fall of the gutter towards the outlet are set by the contractor on site.
Corrosion protection
Zinc also protects the steel cathodically: at a scratch it is consumed instead of the steel, so minor damage to the coating does not immediately start rusting. A thicker zinc coating keeps that protection for longer, and the figure for the coating (the Z marking to EN 10346) is part of the declaration of the sheet manufacturer. When cutting to size on site, a cold cut with shears or a nibbler is recommended, because the heat and sparks from a grinder damage both the zinc and the coating.
Small accessories in the bill of quantities
Stop ends, pipe connectors, pipe clips and gutter corners are regularly forgotten when ordering, and without them the system cannot be closed. We draw up the parts list together with you from the drawing or from the site measurements.

Made-to-measure goods, such as flashings and sheet cut to length, are delivered within 5-7 radnih dana. To a written enquiry with measurements we reply with a quote within 48-72 radna sata.
The delivery cost depends on the county, on the weight and on the dimensions of the goods, and the exact amount is shown in the basket once the county has been selected. Gutters and pipes are long, bulky goods that are not sent by post — they are dispatched by pallet or lorry transport.
