Technical classification of the models

01

WALL PANELS

Visible and concealed joint

Architecturally profiled with micro-lines or completely smooth. The ideal choice for modern facades of shopping centres and office buildings.

02

FACADE PANELS

Thermal insulation envelope

Maximum retention of heat energy inside the building. Concealed screws ensure a flawless appearance and prevent moisture ingress.

03

ROOF PANELS

Resistance to snow

A five-rib profiled top layer for outstanding load capacity. Designed to span large infrastructure spans safely.

Wall and facade panels — frequently asked questions

What is the difference between wall panels and roof panels?

Roof panels have a profiled outer skin (five ribs) that carries the load between the purlins and sheds water; wall panels have flat or micro-lined skins and are fitted horizontally or vertically, with visible or concealed fixing. Both consist of two steel skins and an insulating core.

What U-value does a 100 mm wall panel have?

Around 0.22 W/m²K by calculation with a PUR core of λ = 0.022 W/mK — as the simplified value λ/d, without surface resistances. The declared U-value of a particular panel is stated in its declaration of performance and is slightly lower, because the surface resistances are added.

Visible or concealed fixing — which is better?

Neither is “better”: visible screwing is cheaper and faster, while concealed fixing gives a smooth facade without screw heads and protects the penetration from moisture. Warehouses and workshops mostly choose visible fixing, retail and office buildings concealed.

What reaction-to-fire class do wall panels have?

To EN 13501-1, depending on the core: PIR typically B-s1, d0, PUR with lower resistance, mineral wool non-combustible (A1). Where the regulations or the insurer require non-combustible external walls, the answer is mineral wool.

Does Modeco supply and install the panels?

Modeco supplies wall and facade panels with fixings, sealants and flashings from its own production, and installation is carried out by its own teams. The lead time for panels is 14–21 days, and a quote follows within 48–72 working hours of an enquiry stating the area and core thickness.

How much does a facade panel cost per square metre?

Panels are quoted on request; the price depends on the core, thickness, skin, colour and quantity. Send the facade area, the core thickness you want and the fixing method — you receive a quote with panels, flashings and fixings as separate items.
